Little Owl

One of the smallest owls was seen for the first time in the wild in Peru in the northern jungle. The population of the little owlet is said to be less than 1,000 and possibly as few as 250. The owlet species had been seen many times in the nest but never any other times. Many scientists are excited about finding this little owl. There are so few of this bird because of the destruction of their habitat. Some call this owl "strange owl" because of the feathers around the eyes. This bird is so small it is not bigger than your fist.
